Weight Loss Pills can Kill

Due to ignorance, many people especially youngsters’ start taking weight loss pills to get in shape. However, these pills are not only harmful for the body, but can be life threatening too. These pills are mostly used by gym goers in a bid to get fast results and are popularly known as anti-obesity drugs. 

Some of the most commonly used weight loss pills are orlistat, lorcaserin, phentermine and DNP or dinitrophenols. Orlistat helps in minimizing the fat absorption process by intestine by obstructing the pancreatic lipase. Intake of this weight loss pill can lead to stomach pain and frequent bowel movements. Lorcaserin used as an appetite suppressant can cause nausea, headache and dizziness.

 In some cases, it can also lead to depression and anxiety. Phentermine mostly used as a diet supplement by those following a tough exercise regimen adversely affects various bodily functions. DNP is the most harmful weight loss pill which is in fact a banned substance. Though readily available in many chemist shops, its usage can lead to irregular heartbeats and rapid breathing which may even cause coma and death. 

Youngsters need to be sensitized about the hazardous effects of these weight loss pills which have fast become a thing to be commonly used among them for building a good body. They need to be made aware of the adverse effects of these pills which are never revealed by the fitness experts and various industry groups as their main purpose is to give what the person wants. 

If you are also taking any weight loss pills for burning those extra kilos, better take medical advice before moving further. Adopting natural ways for losing weight always prove to be beneficial in the long run. So, don’t get swayed by the alluring weight loss advertisements and force yourself on the path of slow death.
